Tuesday 20 August – Regular Meeting – Mid-Winter Feast

This is our regular mid-winter feast, so bring a plate (hot food is always appreciated!) to share for supper.

Have you ever contacted Romania on DX and wondered what sort of country it is? Branch member David Marshall worked there just after the revolution when the orphanages of Romania were an international scandal. He will describe how he came to go there on two occasions, where he worked and taught, and show a short DVD of his experiences. Importantly, he will explain why several decades later, recounting this experience is still so important.

Agenda: Talk from David Walker ZL2DWM, technical activities discussion,  with plenty of opportunities for mingling and eating.  Tea and coffee available.
