4 August Construction Workshop – Tape Measure Beams and/or Flowerpot Antennas 2m/70cm

Eben ZL2EF will lead us in constructing tape measure beams for 2m and 70cm (similar to last year’s construction event).   Mike ZL1AXG will assist constructors in making Flowerpot antennas (2m/70cm dipoles in a PVC enclosure).

A Tape Measure Beam is suitable for general use at your home QTH, for RDF (e.g. wander search) and for Fox Hunts.   A flowerpot antenna is great for hiding away inside or outside to improve access to local FM and DMR repeaters on VHF/UHF.

Cost is $20 for Flowerpot antenna and $25 for the Tape Measure Beam.  You may well have time to build both antennas!
