CW Transceiver for 40m Construction Event – 30 June

Daniel ZL2DTL and Mike ZL1AXG will lead a practical workshop building a simple 40m HF CW transceiver (49er). This is a quality rig, and will come in an aluminium enclosure. It will enable you to make contacts around NZ on CW with an appropriate 40m antenna. The rig is crystal controlled with a crystal filter on receiver. Modification is possible to make this VFO controlled. Details will be provided at the workshop on how to do this as a follow up project.
Kits need to be ordered in advance from China.

Cost is $30. You get to keep the kit and enclosure! An add-on kit with processor, VFO and digital filtering is planned (approximate cost extra $30). Details to come later.
You will need to provide your own morse key and earphones. We will discuss options at the workshop. A “test” micro-key (micro-switch) and plug provided.
