    Bernard ZL2BD and Mike ZL1AXG will give an update on experiments with receive only magnetic loop antennas (differences between tuned and untuned loops and loops with small diameter elements).

    Mike ZL1AXG will also give the fourth update on the Simple SSB TXCVR.   He will look in particular at the IF amps and the XTAL filter.

    All are welcome.  Tea and coffee will follow at the end of the shed workshop.

    This is a practical introduction and demonstration about DMR and DMR hotspots from John ZL2XJ and Mike ZL1AXG. Mike will demonstrate hotspot on the GD77 handheld using OpenGD77 firmware. Malcolm will demonstrate operation of his high power hotspot.  John will speak about the Raspberry Pi based hotspot.   Members will be encouraged to order handhelds and hotspot kits to be configured at a special shed workshop in two months time.

    Mike ZL1AXG will also give his third presentation on the Simple Txcvr.

    All welcome.  Tea and coffee to follow the workshop as always.

    John ZL2XJ and Bernard ZL2BD will give a presentation and demonstration of the KiwiSDR project that will have been installed on a remote receive site and is currently being tested in suburban Wellington.  The presentation will include an overview of the technology and its application, and the design and implementation of the remote build.

    Tea and Coffee will be available following the meeting in the cafe upstairs, courtesy of the Club.  All welcome!
