VHF Field Day Contest: ZL2WB Entry

The club will participate in the NZART VHF Field Day Contest (using the club callsign ZL2WB).   The location will be the top of Ruskin Road, Johnsonville alongside the water reservoir.

Hopefully we will have sufficient SSB equipment and antennas to operate simultaneously on 6m, 2m and 70cm.   Please contact Mike if you have suitable portable or mobile equipment or if you are interested in operating.

Operating times are:  5 pm to 11 pm on Saturday, and 7 am to 1 pm on the Sunday.

Operating in the VHF Field Day contest is a really good opportunity to develop operating skills and to have fun seeing how far away can be worked on these bands without reliance on the ionosphere.   Mike ZL1AXG has previously worked into Taranaki and the Upper South Island from this location on 2m.
