Regular Meeting – 15 April 2025 – Portable Operations Panel

Our regular monthly meeting is held from 7.00pm until 9.00pm approximately on the Third Tuesday of every month.
All regular Branch 50 meetings are now at the Johnsonville Community Centre in Room 1A, 3 Frankmoore Ave, Johnsonville.
The topic for this month’s Branch Meeting is Portable Operations.
This will take the form of a Panel discussion (led by Zane ZL1CZ). Panellists with an interest in portable activity, such as Parks on the Air (POTA) and Summits on the Air (SOTA), will be asked a series of questions to help reflect on why they are interested in portable activities, how to get involved in activating a portable station, what gear is typically used, and the strategies taken to maximise contacts with other operators.
